Abbots Langley Festival

Join in with the 2026 Abbots Langley Festival

Preparations for the 2026 are under way. This Website will be updated shortly with information on how you and your group or club can become part of this month-long festival celebrating everything that goes on in and around Abbots Langley. The 2024 festival was packed with fun, diverse, and interesting activities.  There was something for everyone. We would like to thank the many groups and individual volunteers who gave their time, expertise and creativity, to bring us all so much pleasure.

Please support and enjoy the events in next year’s Abbots Langley Festival as we join together Celebrating Abbots Langley

The Abbots Langley Festival Committee

So, how did ALF 2024 go? – In all, 27 groups joined in creating 36 events for the festival programme. Several of these events were over multiple days, so, in total, there were 68 possible dates for your diary. In fact, there were only 3 days of the 29 days of the festival that had no event on. These events were held at 15 different venues around the village.

The participating groups were asked to provide feedback, and the responses were very encouraging, with most groups reporting good or increased turnout to their events, with the possible exception of some that clashed with the EURO2024 finals.

Some groups reported gaining new members and several raised money for the charities that they supported, and generally the feedback was that the events were good for them, and good for the village as the festival attracted interest and promoted the village as a really together sort of place.

There are many more groups or clubs around the village that could join in, such as sports and youth organisations, maybe by having open days or have-a-go days. It would all add to the village profile that the festival promotes. It is the task of the festival committee to invite participation, collate the programme, get it designed, printed and delivered to every household in the parish. We also prepare advertising banners around the locality, marker signs for each venue and we organise an information and ticket sales stand in the high street for 6 weekends.
